Dakota Textbook Company Offers Students
More Used Textbooks and Competitive Pricing

Dakota Textbook Company now offers students a second, viable choice when purchasing textbooks at the University of South Dakota. The off-campus bookstore, which opened under new management in April, provides students with access to a large number of used textbooks and competitive pricing.

"There is no question, many college students are price sensitive and for the majority of students, every dollar counts–especially when it comes to purchasing textbooks. One way to quickly lower textbook costs is to improve students' access to used textbooks," said Zach Dunphy, Dakota Textbook Company Manager. "Our bookstore works closely with faculty to ensure textbook orders are turned into the bookstore early so that students receive more money for their textbooks at buy-back. That in turn, translates into more used textbooks being available at the start of the following term."

Dakota Textbook Company has undergone a significant renovation since Nebraska Book Company purchased the bookstore in April of this year. Dunphy added, "We are focused on serving students, faculty and the community. We've created a fresh brand focused solely on enhanced customer service and, as a result, Dakota Textbook Company was launched."

The renovation of the bookstore will be complete this July.
