February 27, 2006 Campus bookstore requests for ebook offerings have been the springboard for Nebraska Book Company’s digital delivery solution. Based on market demand, bookstore managers support providing today’s students with the choice of purchasing ebooks – in addition to new and used textbooks. Nebraska Book Company’s digital delivery solution is simple for bookstores to implement and even easier for students to use. The bookstore simply adds a reusable digital delivery hang tag next to the physical textbook on the bookstore shelf. The student takes the tag to the cashier and purchases the ebook(s). A single download code is generated by Nebraska Book Company’s digital delivery system and delivered to the WinPRISM or PRISM point of sale system at the bookstore. The unique code is printed on the bottom of the students’ receipt along with download information. The student downloads the purchased textbook(s) through a centralized web application managed by Nebraska Book Company.
