News Golden Ticket Promotion December 13, 2005 Nebraska Book Company today announced the kick-off of the Golden Ticket promotion which will award as many as 500 lucky college students with a $400 scholarship to pay for textbooks during the spring 2006 semester. In addition to textbook scholarships, students also have the opportunity to win additional cash back when selling their used textbooks back to the bookstores as well as money off the purchase of next semester’s textbooks. The Golden Ticket promotion also includes a chance to win t-shirts, candy bars, and pens – every student is a winner! The promotion runs through January 31, 2006. The promotion targets students at the following bookstores: Boomer Book Company and Sooner Textbooks, Norman, Oklahoma; South Texas Book & Supply, Edinburg, Texas; Double T Bookstore; Lubbock, Texas; Mike's Bookstore, Ypsilanti, Michigan; South Texas Book & Supply, McAllen, Texas; and the College Store, Houston, Texas. Rob Rupe, Senior Vice President College Bookstore Division, Nebraska Book Company, said: "We understand that for the majority of students, every dollar counts – especially when buying and selling textbooks. The Golden Ticket promotion puts a little extra cash in students' pocket and at the same time, says thank you to students for continuing to support their local bookstore."
