News Nebraska Book Company Earns High Marks in Gallup Poll November 02, 2003 Bookstore managers from across the country rank Nebraska Book Company as the best used textbook wholesaler in the business, according to a nationwide Gallup Poll. The telephone survey of 501 independent bookstore managers was conducted in November 2000. The poll was commissioned by NBC to examine the company’s image in the industry and to examine the satisfaction of bookstore managers with various elements of their experience with companies that buy and sell used textbooks. Of those bookstore managers surveyed who believe that one used textbook wholesaler is best, more named NBC "best." NBC also ranked number one in several other key areas, including value, price, and customer service. "We are extremely pleased with the results," says Barry Major, Chief Operating Officer of Nebraska Book Company. "Nebraska Book prides itself on being the best in our industry, and this survey clearly shows that we are indeed the leader in all facets – from customer service, to fair pricing, to information systems and, most importantly, the dedication and quality of our employees." Other categories in which NBC received the highest ranking included respectful treatment of customers, order fulfillment, Buying Guide and related services, shipping performance, sales representative service, customer service problem solving, customer friendly policies and a high level of service.
