"Tickets for Veterans" 2007-08 Program Announced
Nebraska Veterans Celebrated

Nebraska Book is pleased to announce its third annual “Tickets for Veterans” celebration. The event honors the dedication and commitment of our many Nebraska veterans by awarding them tickets to the Nebraska vs. Hawaii volleyball game on Sunday, October 21st. To be eligible to win, veterans can register on-line at www.nebraskabookstore.com or by contacting the Nebraska Book Store.

"Nebraska veterans have sacrificed greatly for our country," said Barry S. Major, chief operating officer of Nebraska Book Company. "We are very excited to be able to show our support through our third annual 'Tickets for Veterans' celebration. We appreciate all veterans sacrifice to support our country and this is one small way for us to say thank you."

The "Tickets for Veterans" program includes two free tickets to the October 21st Nebraska/Hawaii volleyball game and a pre-game honorary luncheon at the Nebraska Bookstore featuring visits from Governor Heineman and Nebraska football great, Johnny Rogers.

There will also be a street party open to all veterans and their families the day of the event. The party will feature performances by the Husker cheerleaders, Husker Scarlett’s and Herbie Husker. In addition, there will be live music, games and activities for kids, food and much more. The street party will be held Sunday, October 21st, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Nebraska Bookstore, 13th and Q Streets, Lincoln, Nebr.
