News Husker Ticket Promotion January 17, 2006 The Big Red Shop congratulates Friend, Nebraska, resident, Charles Vossler, for winning the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and Collegiate Licensing Company’s 2005 Holiday Promotion. The grand prize – two tickets to the 2006 Nebraska vs. Texas football game. Vossler registered for the tickets at the Big Red Shop in December. Terrie Brownson, store manager, Big Red Shop, said: "This was a fun promotion to take part in with the University and CLC. With over 20 local retailers participating in the promotion, we were excited that the winner was selected from our store. Congratulations, Charles!" The 2005 Holiday Promotion, sponsored by the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and Collegiate Licensing Company, was designed to increase consumer traffic at local retailers and, in turn, help sell licensed University of Nebraska merchandise. More than 20 local retailers participated in the 2005 Holiday Promotion which ran December 6-31, 2005. The grand prize – one lucky customer winning two tickets to the Nebraska vs. Texas football game on October 21, 2006. The tickets were provided by the University of Nebraska. The winner was randomly drawn from all participating retail stores by the University. Big Red Shop is located in the newly remodeled Westfield Mall and owned and operated by the Nebraska Bookstore.
